Tech Year in review – Happy New Year and 2012 will be a great year for Technology

As we reflect on the past year and look at all of the innovation and changes with Tech in 2011 – iPhone dominating the market, Android smart phones, social media, Cloud Computing, Google+, Amazon new Kindle, mobile, it’s exciting to look at what 2012 will bring. So I’m attaching TechCrunch 2011 ‘year in review’. And I’m so excited about my company’s arsenal of products and solutions. Oracle is positioned to explode with current Cloud solutions.

The term ‘big data’ draws a lot of attention, but behind the hype, it is a simple concept. For many years, companies have been making business decisions based on transactional data stored in relational databases or going beyond and  creating OLAP data marts. Beyond that critical data, however, is a potential treasure of less structured data: weblogs, social media, email, sensors, and photographs that can be mined for useful information.

Latin Prepaid Cards: Silver Lining?

Having worked in Latin America for many years with Bank of America in Miami, the Latin America market is prime opportunity for Prepaid Cards. My company, ecommLink, is very bullish on Latin America as an exploding market in the next few years, and our global expansion includes this region.
